Arthington Viaduct, by the River Wharfe on the Leeds-Harrogate line. The trains stopped here until 1965, not long after Dr Beeching wrote and published his book, ‘The Reshaping of British Railways’.

This bath-house was built in 1671
Ice cold water from a nearby spring
was conducted here to a sunken bath
Also inside was a small fireplace
to sweat the patients after bathing.
